WORLD BOOK DAY
3AD had a fantastic World Book Day. The costumes they wore were great - thank you for your support. It really helps the children get into the spirit of the day and celebrate their enjoyment of books.
For World Book Day we studied "Rabbits" by John Marsden and Shaun Tan. We discussed the book and wrote our own response to the book. Next we used the line "They came by water" to draw and paint vehicles we had designed. Just like Shaun Tan all vehicles had to include industrial elements like clocks, cogs, wheels, chimneys and funnels with smoke billowing out of them.
This term our topic will be colour and light.
We have started by exploring, primary, secondary and tertiary colours.
Come and look at the colour wheels we created using only three colours!
