Shears Green Junior School

Learn. Enjoy. Achieve.

Baby Blue

I’m Baby Blue and I’m going to be blogging every Tuesday. On here, I’ll be writing fun and exciting things about things I love, like: cute DIYs, cooking recipes, life hacks and lots more! I’m sure you’ll enjoy my blogs and make sure to stay tuned for more!

Currently, I’m in my fourth week of Year Six – time has flown by so quickly! Being top of the school is so cool, and kind of crazy – especially because I’m a House (whoops, sorry Mrs Pike – I mean Team) Captain.

Do you know that I used to be so scared of the Year Sixes, but now I’m a Year Six myself! Wow. I wonder why I was so scared of them. I guess…they were bigger…and better.

As I said earlier, I’m in my fourth week of Year Six, which means that our PGL (Parents Get Lost) trip isn’t too far away. We are leaving at the end of October and will return at the start of November (it lasts for four days). This year, we are going to the Isle of Wight, which is a small island situated off the south-coast of England. I’m very excited! From what I’ve heard, PGL trips are great experiences. I’m sure that they are the best part of junior school; this is why I’m really looking forward to it.

For those who don’t know, I’m actually Scottish (from Blackhill, Glasgow). In fact, I only moved to England at the start of Year Five. It was a big change for me – everything was different. The accent changed, the schools changed, even the people changed. By now, I’ve learnt to get used to those changes. After all, change is good.

“If you can’t fly, then run. If you can’t run, then walk. If you can’t walk, then crawl, but whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward.”

  • Martin Luther King Jr

That quote is from the famous (back in his age) Martin Luther King Jr about change.

Catch you later and have a blue-riffic day!
