Hi guys. It’s the most wonderful time of the year, Christmas! As I have said before, I take part in many clubs, one of which is choir. We have been learning lots of new and old carols to sing this year and I will be talking about them in today’s blog!
The school choir, led the by the wonderful Mrs Laughton, are singing rather a lot of songs this year, such as ‘The Gift’ and ‘Away in a Manger’ (my all-time favourite). So far, we have been to Sainsbury’s and the town; later on today we are heading off to an elderly home then next week we’re going to another care home. In the past, I have really enjoyed going to the elderly and care homes because it means a lot to them and every year, we have a group of keen singers ready to join in in both of the homes. We also made an appearance at the fair, although that was not our best because you could hardly hear us over the loud audience.
I’ve found so many friends in choir, and in all the other clubs I do. It’s so fun to be able to share our Christmas joy with others and learning new songs. Thank you so much to Mrs Laughton for all her hard work and effort she has put into making this choir the best choir in could be, to all the staff and helpers who have contributed to making this a great experience, and to you for reading this blog! I hope you have enjoyed it and come back for more, also, make sure to check out everyone else’s blogs!
P.S – I hope you’ve all started opening your advent calendars, only eighteen days to go!
