Fire station Path
We have been informed today that although the dangerous brick wall in the alley adjacent to the fire station has been removed, it has not yet been replaced. This is the responsibility of the Fire Brigade and until they inform us it is safe, the gate will have to remain closed. The top gate on White Avenue will be open after school until the other entrance reopens. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
Main Entrance on White Avenue
Building works for our new reception are well underway. However, this means this entrance is currently out of use.
Until further notice, the arrangements are as follows:-
Children will not be able to be dropped off or collected from the front of the school for at least the first three weeks of term. If you need to drop off a letter, any money, or are needing any general information, this can be done using the back entrance to the school library which will be signposted at the start of term. This access point of contact will be open every day from 8.30 until 9am and again from 3.15 until 3.35.
Children coming to breakfast club on the first day can be dropped at the pedestrian gate and then follow the signs to get into the building. Members of staff will be there to guide people in. Children after school clubs will all be collected from the pedestrian gate, led out by the lead teacher. Parents will be able to wait on the grassy area outside of the special fencing barriers. All children will need to be collected from the playground at the end of the school day. If a child needs to be collected for an appointment, ring the intercom on the front gate and a member of staff will walk your child round to you.
If you have any concerns or worries on the first few days, please don’t hesitate to contact us by telephone and we will help in any way that we can.
