Why are children not given homework other than project work? |
Homework is available via TT Rockstars, Weekly Arithmetic Tests sent home for information and correction, 20 minutes reading each evening, New reading App published in the New Year |
When project work is brought into school not always acknowledged by teachers? |

Can reading diaries be used to update parents on pupil’s progress – parents evenings sometimes not enough |
Messages can be passed via diaries. Progress concerns can be raised with teacher at the end of the school day or contact the office to make an appointment with teacher. Additional reporting is also done through Head Teacher postcards, golden tickets, stickers and other internal awards which children should be able to discuss with parents/carers |
Themed weeks or days – could parents have more information so that they can discuss with children |
School to provide a little more detail around themed weeks, ie: Friendship week on the Newsletter |
